Hi everyone!

Now that Voldemort has been defeated, things are looking a little different around wizarding Britain!

The Ministry is back to business as mostly usual. Anyone who isn't suspected of being a Death Eater was hired back. The technology previously used will be difficult to replace so it's back to quill and parchment and paper plane memos for a while. We think the Ministry mostly hired qualified NPCs to replace positions vacated by Death Eaters, but if you have any questions about this in particular or are interested in a position for your character, please email us instead of commenting here.

The DMLE will not be prosecuting purists unless they've committed a crime. They'll be checking their suspects for Dark Marks and if they don't have one or there's no evidence of any crime, they'll be free to go. Similarly, the Imperius defense is good to go unless they have a Dark Mark

The Prophet has published a list of the deceased and the Ministry owled their families prior to the list's publication. The Prophet has also completely changed their tune and is singing Harry Potter's praises.

The Death Eaters will be going to jail for a very long time, but prison reform is on the horizon! They'll be allowed visitors and the dementors will be removed entirely.

This is more of a game thing, but how does everyone feel about ending the game not this weekend but next weekend? We're thinking midnight EST Sunday morning/11 CST Saturday night.

Hey guys!

I got mod-approval for a lighthearted mini-plot, and it is open to any character (whether they're in the country or not) who would download apps for their phone.

In between the meetings she's had, Violet got bored and made a game app called Cosmic Competition. It is very addictive (think on the level of Candy Crush & Pokemon Go). Although the app itself is free to download, there are paid add-ons, and like Candy Crush, there's a half hour time out that you can pay to bypass/get new "lives" and continue playing. The game can be played individually, or you can compete against other users if you know their username.

There's even a muggle friendly version of the game - the only noticeable difference is a few special effects in the magical one that don't exist in the muggle friendly one.

Aside from being able to bypass the time out, paid add ons include the ability to customize your star sprite character and buy equipment for the sprite that lasts for 30 minutes that makes it easier to get to the next level. 50% of all proceeds go to charity. Publicly, the app is listed as being produced by a company called New Horizons, and the app information states that the charitable proceeds will go to families in need.

Please feel free to have characters get absurdly competitive over high scores and such. There is a leaderboard that has been programmed to update every four hours.

We have a few different headers for the battle specifically and a few for after the battle since we imagine they'll be jumping right into things. We're looking at Tuesday (at the latest) to send any battle pairings out with the battle still going up the weekend of the 12th/13th.

Hi everyone!

So this week we're going to start planning the Battle of Hogwarts, but we really want to make sure we hit all of the notes that everyone as a group wants to hit so we thought we'd share what we're thinking so far and then open up the floor to the group as a whole!

Based on the survey responses, the battle will be the weekend of the 12th/13th with a log deadline of either midnight CST that Friday or Saturday afternoon. We're planning on posting a volunteer post this week and we're hoping to get any pairings out by next weekend at the very latest. What we're thinking this will entail is a mix of the final showdown pairings you guys already have in mind and then mod generated pairings.

We'll be opening the floor to Death Eater NPCs and the other NPCs we mentioned in the survey, but if there are any other NPCs you'd like to see, let us know down below! As of right now, we're thinking of mainly focusing on DA NPCs that are related to our current characters with some of the main canon ones like Harry and Neville when necessary, but we'd be open to opening the rest of the DA up if that's something you guys would like to see. We can do a volunteer post for NPCs this week too if that ends up being necessary!

We're also planning to post an IC/OOC during the ceasefire and after Voldemort's death to give everyone the opportunity to get their character's thoughts/feelings on screen without having to log them, BUT we're open to anyone logging whatever they'd like before, during and after. We'll be sending out battle docs to focus on the different phases of the battle so just be sure to note your logs there and link them when they're done!

Since we don't have weekly reminder posts with adds anymore, we have a list of reminders all on their own!

• If you have not already done so, please reply to our feedback and BoH surveys here and here respectively.
  
  
• When emailing us to reserve dates for plot, please include as much information about the plot as you can. This makes it easier for us to get a sense of how things will be laid out and where the focus will be (as well as potential overlap/connections between plots). We really appreciate knowing what you have planned!
  
  
• Since some storylines will involve characters or NPCs leaving the country in the near future, we just want to remind everyone that the journals will only work inside of the UK. Beyond that, they'll be out of range of the network. Phones will still work, though!
  
  
• In general, we are very much in the thick of a very intense month and we understand that tensions can run high, but we've always taken pride in the fact that everyone has been very supportive of one another at this game and how wonderful everyone's done at communicating. When sharing sensitive information between characters or wanting your character to have access to information, we encourage everyone to continue to keep those lines of communication open and to be considerate of each other and all of our plans for wrapping up our storylines. We know things can get complicated, and if you ever have any questions about how to approach a situation, we're here to help!

Hello everyone!

Clare & I were wondering if anyone would be interested in having your characters investigated via Demeter & John (and possibly other Aurors, as well!) post-Battle of Hogwarts, regarding things that have happened throughout the course of the game. They are likely going to be focusing on Death Eaters, but perhaps even crimes that weren’t directly committed by the Death Eaters themselves (i.e. Death Eater supporters, people Imperiused, people claiming Imperius, etc.).

What we would love to hear from you are:

- Character(s) involved
- Crime(s) committed
- Scope of investigation (i.e. would you want them convicted/imprisoned/released, etc.?)
- How you envision all of this to play out
- Anything else that you think may be important/necessary for the investigation to be processed

If you want your Auror character involved as well, then please let us know so that we can share the information together.

Hey everyone! Just a heads up for tomorrow, March 26th. Violet will be uploading a harmless virus into the journal networks via a Snatcher's temporarily borrowed phone. It will not compromise anyone's wards, but what it will do is a find and replace function, so that every time anyone tries to use particular words or phrases, it will be replaced with something else.

So, for example, if someone meant to say "Man, I hate Death Eaters and their purist bullshit" it would come out as "Man, I hate snickerdoodles and their blueberry scented bubble in accordance with the Prophecy"

The words/phrases and their replacements are:

Death Eater = snickerdoodle
Mudblood = candy apple
Blood traitor = epic cape
Purist = blueberry scented bubble
Bullshit = in accordance with the Prophecy
Murder = tapdance naked
Torture = sing opera off-key
Quiz = matter of the utmost importance

( ACTIVITY CHECK 07: MARCH )

Hi everyone!

We're a little less than a month and a half out from the Battle of Hogwarts, so we wanted to take this time to touch base and make a few announcements! There's a lot to cover here, so please make sure you read carefully.

1. MINISTRY BATTLE: Pairings for the Ministry battle on the 29th should be sent out! If you need anything changed or you didn't get an invite when you should have, please let us know and we'll get on top of that!

2. MARCH/APRIL/END OF GAME PLOT: Plot for this month is filling up really quickly! If there's anything you've been holding off on sending us for scheduling purposes, please shoot us an email quickly so we can make sure the pacing of everything will work/we'll all be able to hit the highs we want to with our storylines! In general, if you have something you want to get done before the end of the game and want our help making it happen, please email us sooner than later or we're going to run out of time!

3. APPLICATIONS: We're going to be closing adds on APRIL 3RD. For anyone who's interested in apping another character before then and isn't already at their character limit, we'll waive the waiting period so they can be apped before we shut things down!

4. ACTIVITY CHECK: Our last activity check is going up on MARCH 24TH, which is less than a week away. If you have any activity concerns, please email us!

5. BATTLE OF HOGWARTS: Please be thinking about what you'd like to do for the Battle of Hogwarts and how you can wrap up your storylines. We're planning on sticking as close to the canon timeline as possible, but maybe shifting the date of the battle so it falls on the weekend. We'll have a post up soon so we can start getting details and NPCs together. You'll also have a chance to do rolls/request battle pairings, so it's not too soon to be thinking about what you'd like to see happen!

6. TEMPERATURE CHECK: We're going to be doing another temperature check so we can get one last round of feedback before we organize things for our final pre-battle month. Would it be helpful if these were anonymous? We just want to make sure they're being used responsibly, because we're the only ones who see the responses and we get a lot from the feedback. We want very much to help keep things productive and everyone pleased with what they're working on, but we understand that some people are still a little nervous, so we'd be open to making it anonymous if people would prefer.

And as a general reminder, we want to take a second to acknowledge that we're moving into what will definitely be the darkest period of the game. Stakes are going to be higher and there's a lot that's going to happen. Please, everyone, do your best to communicate with each other and keep in mind that none of us is perfect. You've all been amazing and flexible so far, but please don't lose sight of being in this together. Give each other the benefit of the doubt and make sure to reach out when conflict arises. You're all amazing and we're proud of everything we've managed to get done together up to now!

Hi guys! This is just a quick note and we're sorry if this was unclear, but the ward plot last month took the ID system out of commission entirely! We forgot to mention this on the March pcal, but they never managed to restore them.

Hi everyone!

We're going to have Kingsley post about this so the Order can do some more in-character plotting, but at the end of the month, the Order is going to make a strike against the Ministry, particularly the Muggleborn Registration Commission. This will result in a major blow to the MRC/Ministry. Death Eaters are welcome and encouraged to brainstorm ways to retaliate. This will probably be our last larger-scale event before the Battle of Hogwarts, unless something else comes up in character.

As of right now, we have the plot listed for the 31st, but in hindsight, we're not sure about the timing with the full moon, so we're moving it to the 29th. If you have any questions, please email us and we'll make sure to clarify everything we can/post reminders with adds tomorrow night.

Right now, we'd like to get an idea of who will be involved and how much damage is going to be done! Please fill this out by 8PM EST THURSDAY so we can send out pairings by Friday night at the latest and maximize the time we have to log. Comments are screened!
